Uncle, Aunty, “man man sek” – Soup Kitchen by FunGates Superflow Foundation

By Evon Lee (CSR Committee) and Tanny Yap (CSR Chairperson)

PAC LEASER contributes as a volunteer to the FunGates SuperFlow Foundation or “Fungates” which runs ‘Feed The Poor’ Programs to the community. The Soup Kitchen is a public eatery where daily free lunches are served to the neighborhood homeless and urban poor. The Soup Kitchen held in Jinjang Kuala Lumpur, collectively feeds about 300 individuals daily from Monday to Saturday from 11.15am to 1.30pm. Everyone is welcome to the Soup Kitchen, and the food provided is pork and beef free.

As part of the CSR drive, Annie, Pei Chi, Joey Chan, Evon and the two devoted volunteers, Pui Pui and Hui Min made a site visit to the Soup Kitchen. Our Volunteers were required to put on an apron, gloves, and hairnet before serving the food.

They were tasked with setting up the serving counter, packing, distributing, and serving the meal wiping tables, and then cleaning the entire area from the counter tops to the floor.

~ Thank You for Volunteering ~

Our crew was amazed. They enjoyed the experience and discovered a lot from the activity. We are calling to invite you to an upcoming event at the Soup Kitchen on Thursday, June 15. Kindly register your interest with Evon #1036 as there is a limited quota.
