The Timely Help to Kampung Sugud
Kampung Sugud, Penampang, which is located at around 19KM from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah was recently materially affected with freak storms and was one of the most badly hit areas. Homes were either submerged in floodwater or destroyed by landslides and victims are now living with thick mud and dirt, hence, unable to do any cleaning due to lack of water supply and have been living without electricity for the past days. Pac Lease Berhad had provided the elderly folks and affected families with essential item such as milk powder, adult pampers, rice and other foodstuff and daily care.
Our former colleague & coordinator from Sabah, Mdm Patricia Mosinoh said, “As soon as our donations arrived at the donation centre on 2nd Oct, one of the residents rushed to the centre, under the heavy rain to request for milk and liquid food for the elderly at home.” Such is the desperation and burden, which we helped to lighten, and the community as whole can continue assisting.
Little drops of water, little grains of sand, make the mighty ocean and the pleasant land.
