PITAS Pos Clinic
A quick Google search on Kg Dowokon yields very little information about this humble village located in Pitas District in the Kudat Division of Sabah, Malaysia.
Despite having ample of land space and surrounded by lush greeneries, without a proper transportation system, the nearest healthcare facility centre is an hour away by car and about 2.5 hours away by foot.
In view of the current Covid-19 pandemic, the villagers are aware of the importance in having fast accessibility to proper healthcare services. In true Malaysian spirit, the villagers raised funds within their community to construct a Pos Clinic, whereby healthcare personnels will be stationed comfortably while they provide the villagers with the necessary medical assistance.
However, the construction came to a halt at 60% completion due to insufficient funds and this prompted a representative from Kg Dowokon to reach out to us for donation to complete the construction of the clinic.
Their plight had touched our hearts and aligning with our CSR tagline, ’Together We Make A Better World’, Pac Lease Berhad had pledged a donation of RM4,950.00 to Kg. Dowokon with hopes that this will eventually help them complete the construction of the Pos Clinic and begin their services as soon as possible.
