If You See Someone Without A Smile, Give Them One of Yours
SHELTER is a registered welfare organization, which has been in existence since 1981, provides protection by being involved in rescuing and sheltering children from risky and dangerous environments. Shelter hopes to rehabilitate children in its care from their past hurts and help them overcome their scars and traumatic past experiences – in the hope that these burdens are lifted/lightened.
Majority of the children who go to Shelter Home were admitted by a parent or a guardian, who believes the child is in need of protection and thus gives permission to Shelter Home to undertake that responsibility. Children and also teenagers are also referred to Shelter Home by the Welfare Department, hospitals. concerned individuals or relatives.
Besides that, the organization also provides food and financial aid to refugee families. Its purpose is to preserve the family unit by providing the basic needs (such as food, financial assistance in terms of schools fees in learning centers, school bus expenses & etc) for children.
Hence, the CSR team has conducted a site visit on 14 June 2022 and the company donated basic necessities, based on their needs and financial support to sustain their permanent caretaker and other expenses.
We hope through this contribution will go a long way in motivating the organization and continue its vision.
