Feeding The Marginalized Community
It has been over a year since the outbreak of Covid-19 and it has left a trail of devastation across the globe. Looking within our own community in Malaysia, the pandemic does not play favours as people are either at risk of losing their lives or losing their jobs and livelihood.
Development of Human Resources for Rural Areas (DHRRA) Malaysia is a voluntary non-profit and non-political organization registered in 2006 under the Societies Act of Malaysia 1966. They had identified several target groups potentially at high risk of being impacted by the pandemic which are the B40 group (people from low wages and dependent on daily wage), the elderly population and documented/undocumented foreign communities in Malaysia. With the information they had gathered, they committed themselves to provide the target groups care line support, food and grocery aid, replenish prescribed medicines and other emergency needs through their #CovidCareMY2.0
In December 2020, Ms. Maalini Ramalo and Ms Jaslin Nadia Bt Isham, representatives from DHRRA wrote in to us for support towards their food and grocery aid to the needy and marginalized community. Aligning with our continuous CSR efforts, Pac Lease Bhd had pledge RM2,500.00 to DHRRA which was used for purchase of food aid supplies to be distributed to the less fortunate.
