A Vision To End World Hunger
Stop Hunger Now! There are 815 million people in the world who don’t get the food they need in order to live a healthy life. A mission of ‘Rise Against Hunger’ is to end hunger, and they believe hunger can be ended by 2030 for everyone, everywhere.
A hunger-relief organisation Rise Against Hunger Malaysia gathers food aid in the form of nutrient-fortified meal packets to contribute to the vulnerable communities in Sri Lanka, particularly young children, expectant women and the elderly who are in crucial need of nutrition support and who are living in poverty.
The meal packets, packaged by volunteers, are designed to provide a comprehensive array of micronutrients which consist of enriched rice, soy protein, dried vegetables and 23 essential vitamins and minerals. The campaign aims to contribute 142,560 meals which are able to sustain 2,376 people for 30 days, if consumed twice a day.
As part of our CSR initiatives, we have supported and contributed 3,000 meals to the vulnerable communities in Sri Lanka. The meals packet program provides emergency relief in the wake of natural and man-made disasters, as well as to encourage transformation in communities through school meals, vocational training and health programs around the world.
“We believe healthy, educated communities are the key to ending world hunger. Let’s end it together”
